About us

Our story starts about 18 years ago when my twin sisters arrived and I suddenly wasn’t the centre of attention anymore. I’m told the first interaction involved a small amount of violence on my part (I was two, let’s move on).

For as long as I can remember, we spent most weekends at our Grandma Rara’s house, and baking was always part of it. Biscuits, cakes, scones — whatever was being made, we were involved. She never pushed us out of the way or told us we were too young. We mixed, we measured, we made messes, and we learned.

Growing up, we were competitive and not always the closest. Being the older brother to identical twin sisters means you don’t have loads in common — literally and figuratively. But the kitchen was one place we always came back to.

This cookie business is important to us because it gives us the chance to do something together, properly. It’s also our way of trying to pass on the skills, care, and love for baking that our Grandma inspired in us. Without her, none of this would exist.

Basically, these cookies are just our excuse to share a bit of what we grew up with.
